V 0.3.0 - Fool's kingdom drops


What's in this update?

New enemies!

In this update we added three new standard type enemies

The Blob - weak enemy type with smaller projectiles

Fool's priest - an enemy with a bit more HP but not that hard attacks

Desperate grabber - a stronger enemy with faster attacks and the grab mechanic from 0.2.0

In order to fight them the player  needs to touch them!

New enemies added in 0.3.0

A map!

This map is more of a showcase of how some things should look like and will be expanded upon in update 0.4.0. There are some errors where the map looks weird and that is due to the tilemap being incomplete. The tilemap is being updated as of now you just have to wait for 0.4.0.

This map will be scraped and remade in 0.4.0 as this is just a showcase

While moving left or right the players head isn't visible and this isn't a bug but rather I just didn't draw it on the sprite and will add it together with animations in 0.4.0

Any behind the scenes work?

Yes! We made the foundation for a lot of things such as a save system and made a new system to manage battles.  We also expanded the lore but you will have to wait in order for it to be added to the game! Because of all the changes made to how the game works we can make thigs much easier, for example attacks now have a wider range of possibilities and can be made a bit faster.

What was removed?

We removed the ability to access the boss fights from 0.2.0 and have permanently deleted the code for the first boss added in 0.1.0. due to the fact that it was unbalanced and had very bad code not really compatible with the new way the game works behind the scenes but it will be remade in the future. The boss fight added in 0.2.0 will return in  0.5.0 or later.

The download to 0.2.0 is still up so you can access them there in the meanwhile
